Lesley L. Starnes, MD, FAAD

Dr. Lesley Littrell Starnes joined Franklin Dermatology Group in August of 2017. Originally from Waverly, Dr. Starnes was born and raised in Middle Tennessee. As an undergraduate at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Dr. Starnes was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2006. She then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. In her third year, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated summa cum laude in 2010 with the Faculty Medal for Highest Academic Achievement.

Dr. Starnes completed a one-year internship in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Then, she remained to complete her three-year dermatology residency, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. After practicing with the Jackson Clinic in Jackson, Tennessee, for three years, Dr. Starnes moved home to Middle Tennessee and joined Franklin Dermatology Group.

Dr. Starnes is grateful for the opportunity to serve her community and home state through her calling in medicine and passion for dermatology. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and practicing the full spectrum of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Starnes strives to provide compassionate, effective, patient-centered care focusing on patient education and quality of life.

Dr. Starnes is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). She also enjoys membership in the Nashville Dermatology Society, Tennessee Dermatology Society, and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Starnes resides in Brentwood with her husband and their three children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, traveling, and cheering on the Volunteers. Go Big Orange!
