Alexandra Navarro, MD, FAAD

Dr. Alexandra Navarro joined Franklin Dermatology Group in 2020. She is a native of Franklin, TN, and she attended Vanderbilt University, graduating with a B.E. in Chemical and Bimolecular Engineering.

During her undergraduate career, she was awarded the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholar award and was inducted into the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society. Dr. Navarro attended medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. During this time, she published research concerning skin conditions in both adults and children.

She completed an internal medicine internship at Emory University before returning to Nashville for her dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University. She served as Chief Resident during her final year.

Dr. Navarro has a strong commitment to the improvement in the quality of life of her patients with an emphasis on patient-centered care. She is a skilled medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologist and patients appreciate her caring and kind demeanor. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Navarro is skilled in many state-of-the-art procedures, including platelet-rich plasma for hair regrowth, laser resurfacing, and microneedling with radio frequency. Her cosmetic approach focuses on natural results that rejuvenate patients’ appearance. She offers a wide portfolio of injectable toxins and fillers to help patients achieve their desired outcomes.

Dr. Navarro enjoys cooking for family and friends, running at middle Tennessee’s numerous beautiful parks, and exploring the inventive Nashville food scene with her husband, Gilberto.
