Emily Stewart joined Franklin Dermatology Group in October 2009. Born and raised in Somerset, Kentucky, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Nursing from the University of Kentucky in 2001.
After graduation, Emily relocated to Nashville and gained experience as a cardiac nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Wanting to further her education, Emily decided to attend the family nurse practitioner program at Belmont University. She graduated with honors in 2005, became a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and has received specialty training in medical dermatology, laser surgery, and cosmetic injections of neurotoxins and fillers. She enjoys all aspects of medical and cosmetic dermatology. After having her first child, who suffers from eczema, Emily became very interested in the field of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, and the Dermatology Nurses Association’s Nurse Practitioner Society.
Emily resides in Brentwood with her husband, Brent, who manages his family-owned lumber business. They have two daughters, Gretta-Kate and Temple, and a dog, Woody. Away from work, she enjoys supporting Gretta-Kate in soccer and basketball and Temple in competitive dance, family and friends, traveling, and UK sports! Go Cats!
